Tracsport aluminium differential housing is L169TF heat treated alloy. It saves almost 5kg from an original cast iron housing. Pinion bearings are supplied and fitted. Pinion height also measured and stamped on casting

This differential housing is designed to be a direct replacement for the original Ford cast iron housing. The shape of which is very similar to magnesium examples used by ford motorsport in the sixties.

An example of this is the additional ribbing as on the magnesium housing to add rigidity. The mounting face of the tracsport housing is approximately 3mm thicker than standard, again to add rigidity. Eight elongated studs, washers and lock nuts are provided for this reason.
